Mini Intro About Me

Hey everybody! My name is Sarah and I have been kicking around the idea of starting a blog for the last 10 years. I bet a ton of blogs, start similar to this….

Recently, I started going to therapy again (I’ve gone on and off for most of my life and the reason I went back is for a different post- haha) and with the help of my therapist, I figured out that I want to do something for ME. Being home these last few months due to social distancing and my compromised immune system (I haven’t left the house since March 12th), I have had lots of time to really think and meditate about what I want and what I want this to look like. The last few years my life has taken a backseat to being a domestic goddess, wife and mom. My kids are 9 & 10 now. They’re getting old enough that they can be more independent which also means I get some of my independence back.

I live with Multiple Sclerosis. I was diagnosed in July 2012. I have been really involved with the National MS Society the last 4 years or so. I believe so much in their movement. Recently they featured my story of a mom living with MS during MS Awareness Week 2020. I participate in Walk MS every year with my team, the Talkie Walkie MSFits.

What else to say about me? I really miss high heels. I can’t wear them anymore. My left leg is asleep about 70% of the time and I have balance issues. I rawk my walker to help me walk. I love the combo of mint & chocolate. I love to travel. We were supposed to go to Hawaii for the first time ever in July but we had to cancel our trip. I’m from Southern California. I’m pretty open about my journey. I am a big believer in looking at the sunny side of life.I hope to make connections by being here with you all.

Thanks for taking the time to read through this. See ya!

Hey MSfit's & Spoonies! My name is Sarah. My blog name is MSfit Momma. MSfit is a word I created to be a play on the word "Misfit" because MS (Multiple Sclerosis) doesn't always play by the rules so I don't always either. I am a mom of 2 and I live with Multiple Sclerosis hence MSfit Momma!
